Purpose

From the charter of the Sjöberg Foundation appears following purposes fomulerat by Bengt Sjöberg:

"The Foundation seeks to promote scientific research with a primary focus on cancer, health and environment. To a lesser extent, other charitable purposes within the health and environment can be promoted.

Contributions and support will be given mainly to researchers at universities or equivalent institutions in Sweden or abroad. Contributions can also be partially granted to individuals or organizations working within the purpose.

The Foundation may in the future to some extent promote that the Foundation receives further capital, thereby increasing the opportunities to fulfill the purpose. "
